3 Eco Friendly Fluid Art Methods X Art Journey

Image
Eco friendly fluid art methods emerged in late 2019/early 2020 out of a spontaneous experiment from not mixing the paint correctly, just kinda swirling it and deciding to paint with it anyway which turned out SICK. I found normal fluid art methods to be really wasteful of paint by using plastic cups which aren't necessary if you have a paint palette. sure you can achieve some amazing things with that method but there are other ones that are more environmentally friendly and produce more unique results.  Here are a few methods of eco friendly fluid art painting. Method 1) Scoop the paint from the paint palette and blend out the edges Method 2) Pour the colours from the bottle onto the page and shake or tilt the piece, you can swirl it about with a paintbrush too Method 3) Drip pour from the palette and shake or tilt the piece Below are a few more images of fluid art pieces i created using one of these methods The scooping method is personally my favourite, I sometimes tilt and shake

2018/19 X Art Journey

Image
My journey started in 2018 with watercolour and a normal pen, I found watercolours to be really expressive of my emotions which is exactly what I needed, an outlet for all the craziness going on inside and outside. As I've previously mentioned I started cognitive behavioural therapy sessions (which was a huge step towards recovery and managing my mental health correctly), I didn't have the words to begin to explain what was going on but creating art that represented it by putting pen to paper and just going for it was easier, it gave a starting point for when I had the CBT sessions. I was told there's a science behind the colour choices...They represent my emotions, I began to understand this through further intuitive art making just what art therapy really was *something i'd never heard of but was becoming LIFE CHANGING when paired with CBT sessions*  I discovered junk journalling which was the start of using recycled materials within my art, a key feature and personal

But Art IS Therapy X My Story

Image
The above piece was from when I first started CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), I thought therapy was about handing over your head and it'd be fixed but it actually teaches you how to heal yourself, what went wrong, and how to avoid it happening again with strategies like there's 3 parts to everyday *still the most useful advice ever been given* it was all eyeopening to say the least; but nowhere near as life changing as art was...it became my own personal therapy, a way that I could express my thoughts and overwhelming emotions when I didn't have the words.  When you don't have the words, trying to understand what's going on with your mental health can be difficult and that's where art comes in! Art used for therapeutic purposes has major benefits including getting to know yourself better and the issues your facing being portrayed through creative mediums as to let out the emotions/thoughts or scenario out in a way that seems less scary than talking about

Welcome!!! X My Story

A HUGEEE welcome to the blog!!! You can follow my blog with Bloglovin I'm back ,  doing BITS once more!  I've been gone for over a year and deleted all social media for various reasons but I've recently decided to start this blog which i'm super excited about. I've still been making art but experimenting and exploring alternative routes and methods by going back to basics, along with educating myself on topics somewhat relevant to this blog; I believe everything happens for a reason and although I spent 2 and a half years on Instagram, the time wasn't wasted it taught me A LOT! I'm grateful for the journey but a new one has started now; One filled with alternative thinking and I don't agree with past me  *new age spirituality is fucking dangerous!!! "fell down a rabbit hole and came out with a bang likeee..." it's a song lyric lol true though* so anyways, a lot of the content was irrelevant not to mention possibly harmful or triggering for
