2020 X Art Journey

2020's art was a time of spiritual awareness, focusing on souls and creatures, and my favourite year of art production. I produced that fast however it's all a merged blur but i'll do my best to explain. The above picture is called 'The Adventures of Gary and Bob' a tribute to a conversation I had about my alien tattoo having a moustache, Gary lives on my thigh but I gave him a pal called bob with a beard in this artwork lol. I also did a Dr.Doolittle and cow piece on why meat production started but it's a little dark of a concept despite making it neon and pastel colour scheme.

I continued to use glitter glue and experimented with metallic acrylic paints for the backgrounds, and watercolour once again to fill the drawings

I also tried gel pens and highlighters and further explored fluid art through eco friendly methods which I covered in a previous post

I created A3's and handmade A7 books and also experimented with jewellery making
I produced the Level Uppp zine which i'll do a separate post on

I did some edits of the scanned artwork i'd produced in 2019, cosmiccreativedoinbits I called it. A way of getting inspiration for other colour schemes I could have used if I was feeling a different set of emotions. I really liked playing around and seeing all the different colour combinations.

2020's art was very abstract, lots of lines/shapes connected, chaotically placed with other elements like doors, windows and portals... "can you picture my frame of mind? now that's a wonderful painting"

Till next time,
Stevie x
